Interpretations: Days In Wales

The following mp3 files are extracts from pieces created by editing real-time output from the Weathersongs Installation to form shorter, more structured, pieces which reflect the weather at a particular place and time. In these versions, different voices are often employed from those used in the installation, phrases are sometimes moved around and sometimes even pitches are changed- all by judicious use of "the composer's thumb"- but it is hoped that the "cooked" tracks will retain a strong flavour of the raw material. The plan is to release collections of such pieces, each from a specific location, as audio CDs.

The first collection was made over the year October 2004 to October 2005 at Richard's home in North Wales. A CD album, entitled Weathersongs Volume 1: Days in Wales (Sunday Dance Music SDRIC02) and containing fourteen tracks from this period, is now available for purchase online.
